Band of Skulls on New Moon Soundtrack with Apple Release of the Week

The New Moon soundtrack has already locked up well known bands such as Radiohead and Muse and now the Twilight Saga soundtrack is getting another U.K. group to join the Twilight fray in Band of Skulls who are also featured as an upcoming Apple free single of the week.

In a report by Spinner, the Southampton, UK trio Band of Skulls are making New Moon inroads in their career after landing a coveted spot on the Twilight sequel New Moon soundtrack. According to Band of Skulls lead singer, Russell Marsden, the front man still hasn’t seen Twilight but feels that once the Skulls get a set of big wheels, all things Twilight Saga and New Moon will change. “Still, I’ve not seen the movies,” Marsden stated. “Oh, this is bad. In England, my sister is crazy about them. We’ll have to get a tour bus so we can watch it on the bus.”

Since the New Moon soundtrack will catapult Band of Skulls into the mainstream musical Twilight consciousness, the group received another boost from New Moon momentum as Apple has decided to feature Band of Skulls as their free single of the week.
