Hockey Team relying on Twilight Saga Stars

It seems that the line between hockey teams and Twilight stars is narrowing quite a bit these days.

At least two stars from The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse have been signed by local hockey teams to promote interest in and attendance to their games.

Firstly, Kellan Lutz has been signed to promote the Peoria Rivermen, an AHL team, by “meet[ing] fans for pictures and autographs … and will likely be involved in a pregame ceremony with the team” on October 24th.

Secondly, Alex Meraz will participate in the Grand Rapids Griffins game on December 12th by “mak[ing] a special appearance at Van Andel Arena when the Grand Rapids Griffins host Twilight Night.”
