New Moon breaks the Single-Day Box Office Record

In its second day of release, New Moon has already broken two box office records. It set a new high for midnight tight sales, and yesterday it became the biggest single day earner, taking in over $72 million! The record was previously held by The Dark Knight, which earned $67.1 million.

Now the question remains: can New Moon go on to have the biggest opening weekend of all time? Will it land on the legendary list of Hollywood’s biggest blockbusters?

Peter Facinelli talks about a scene he requested for ‘NewMoon’

In a new interview with MTV, the actor who plays Dr. Cullen talks about a line he asked director Chris Weitz to include:

MTV: Well, then, tell us about the day you got to deliver the line ["Like everything else in life, I just had to decide what to do with what I was given."] on the “New Moon” set. Was it everything you had hoped it would be?

Facinelli: I hope so. God, I hope so. You know, it was a line that wasn’t in the script. It was in the book, and I asked Chris Weitz if we could put it in the movie, because I liked that line.

MTV: Really?

Facinelli: Yeah, and so we worked it into the stitching scene with Bella. It was in the book with Bella, when I was stitching her up. It’s just a line that I always liked.

‘NewMoon’ Premiere Confirmed

We finally have official confirmation from Summit that the

premiere will be held on Monday, November 16th 2009.

As Twilight fans wait for the Twilight Saga sequel New Moon to hit theaters on November 20, the red carpet premiere of New Moon has been announced and will go down in Los Angeles four Twilight days before the official New Moon release date on November 16. Although the red carpet premiere of New Moon is still in the Twilight Saga future, it’s interesting to note that the New Moon L.A. premiere is the same day and location of the L.A. Twilight launch the year before where Twilight fans saw Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and the Twilight cast walk the red carpet.

According to Cullen Boys Anonymous, the L.A. red carpet premiere of New Moon has been set for November 16 and will be screened at Mann Village Theatre and Bruin Theatre in Westwood, California.

Since the New Moon premiere is being held at Mann Theatres, here’s a Twilight look at the Mann Theatre website for Twilight fans in L.A. who may want to catch a New Moon glimpse of Pattinson, Stewart, Lautner and the New Moon cast of the Twilight Saga sequel.
